Josh will be ordained Deacon on 24th September and will serve his title in the parish of St John the Divine, West Worthing.
My name is Josh Delia, I am 28, and I have recently finished three years training for the Priesthood at St Stephen’s House, Oxford. I am married to Emily and have two young children. I am passionate about Thomism, loud music, and most things Sci-Fi/Fantasy.
Prior to training, I studied Philosophy at the University of Birmingham and then spent a few years working for a church on Fleet Street. During this time, I was worshipping at St Matthias, Colindale. By the time I am ordained, I will have spent three months as a lay worker with St John the Divine, West Worthing and St Andrew’s, Worthing. I look forward to continuing to serve these wonderful parishes once I am ordained.
Originally from Hendon in north west London, I was born into a Christian family that worshipped at the local Baptist church. Ordination will be a milestone in a journey that began in that Baptist church and has taken me all over place in more ways than one. By God’s grace I first encountered Anglo-Catholicism while studying at University. Since then I have had the joy of slowly but surely embracing the traditional Catholic Faith in all its fullness.
